Before you come in
The things people ask us most often on the phone.
Do I need a patch test before colour?
Yes. Any colour service needs a skin patch test at least 48 hours beforehand. It takes two minutes, it's free, and you can pop in any time we're open. We can't colour without one, so it's worth doing before your appointment day.
What's your cancellation policy?
Please give us 24 hours' notice if you need to move or cancel. Inside 24 hours we ask for 50% of the service price, and for no-shows we ask for the full amount. We know things come up, so talk to us.
Do you take walk-ins?
Sometimes, but we can't promise it. We're a four-chair studio and we deliberately leave time between clients, so most days are booked. Call ahead and we'll tell you honestly what's free.
How long does balayage take?
Allow three hours, occasionally a little more on long or previously coloured hair. If you're going more than two shades lighter it may need two sessions to keep the hair healthy. Your stylist will say at consultation.
Is there parking nearby?
There's no parking at the studio. The Church Street multi-storey is a four-minute walk, and Market Street tram stop is about six minutes away.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, for any amount from £20. We can post one out or email it, and they're valid for twelve months.
