Measurements are of the garment laid flat, in inches, not of the body. Our cuts run generous — if you're between sizes and want it close, take the smaller.

Delivery & returns
Getting it, and sending it back
UK delivery
£4.95 standard, 2 to 4 working days. Free on orders over £75. Next-day is £8.95 if ordered before 1pm on a weekday.
Europe
£12 flat, 5 to 8 working days. Duties are paid by you on arrival — we can't calculate them at checkout, so we don't pretend to.
Rest of world
£22 flat, 8 to 15 working days. Tracked. Same note on duties applies.
Returns
60 days, unworn, tags on. UK returns are free with the label in your parcel. We refund to the original payment method within 5 working days of it reaching us.
Exchanges
Send it back and reorder — it's faster than a swap and means you don't lose the size to someone else while it's in transit.
Currency
We price and charge in pounds sterling only. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the rate.
Care
Making it last
Lambswool
Hand wash cool or use a wool cycle, then dry flat away from a radiator. Don't hang knitwear wet. Depill with a comb, not a razor.
Heavy cotton
Machine wash at 30, inside out, no fabric softener. It'll soften on its own over about six washes. Expect a little shrinkage in the first one.
Waxed cotton
Never machine wash. Sponge with cold water, re-wax once a year. We re-wax any of our own jackets for £18 including return postage.
Repairs
We repair anything we made, at any age. Seams and buttons are free, larger repairs quoted first. Email us a photo.

What people email us about most.
When will the Brackenhill Chore Jacket be back?
Late September, in the same rust and in a new black. It sells out most seasons, so join the restock list on the product page and you'll get four hours' notice before it goes public.
Do your clothes shrink?
The heavy cottons shrink about 2% in length on the first wash, which our patterns already allow for. Wash at 30 and it stops there. The lambswool won't shrink if you keep it off a hot wash.
Are the sizes unisex?
Yes. We cut one range and size it S to XXL by garment measurement rather than by gender. The size guide table is measured flat, so compare it against something you already own that fits.
Can I pay in euros or dollars?
No — we price and charge in pounds sterling only. Your bank converts at their rate on the day, so we can't tell you the exact figure your card will be charged.
Where is everything made?
Knitwear is woven in Yorkshire. Cotton garments are cut and sewn in Portugal by a factory we've used since 2018 and have visited. Waxed cotton comes from a Lancashire mill.
Do you restock sold-out sizes?
Usually, on a roughly ten-week cycle. We restock rather than chase new releases, so a size selling out means it's coming back rather than being discontinued.
