A Front Desk for Your Med Spa Website
That Takes Consult Requests
BotDesk is a chat assistant for med spa websites. It answers questions about your treatments, prices and hours from your own site, and takes consult requests so your team can call back. It doesn't give medical advice.
Free plan: no card. Paid plans: 30-day free trial, card at checkout, no charge until day 31, cancel anytime. What the Free plan does
How a consult request works
It Answers the Basics, Then Hands Off to Your Team
Most people look at treatments and prices at night, then want to talk to someone. The bot covers the first part and takes their details for the second.
It answers general questions
Which treatments you offer, the prices you publish, hours, location, parking and how a first consult works. It answers from your website and the info you add. If something isn't there, it says so and offers a callback instead of guessing.
It offers a consult
When someone wants to book, it asks which treatment they're interested in and what day and time suit them, then their name, phone number and email. That's with your business type set to Salon / Barber / Spa. You can turn the email off.
Your team calls back
The request is emailed to you and saved in your dashboard's Leads tab. It never tells anyone a time is booked: your team confirms it. The Free plan takes up to 3 requests a month; paid plans take every one.
What it handles
The Questions Clients Ask Before a Consult
"How much is lip filler?"
Gives the prices on your site or in your info, keeping words like "from" or "starting at". If you'd rather price after a consult, set it to say so: it then never gives a figure and offers a consult instead. That setting is on every plan.
"Do you do laser hair removal?"
Answers from the treatments on your site. If one isn't listed, it says it doesn't see it and offers to have your team call.
"Are you open Tuesday evening?"
Answers from the hours you set, including closed days and holidays.
"Do you sell gift cards or memberships?"
Answers from what your site says about gift cards, packages and memberships, and offers a callback for anything else.
"¿Hablan español?"
It replies in the language each person writes in, on every plan. A reply in Spanish doesn't mean your staff speak Spanish, so say on your site if they do.
Questions while you're with a client
Injectors and front desks are busy. The bot answers the website so a curious visitor doesn't leave without a way to reach you.
What it won't do
Medical questions. It's built to never give medical advice, never diagnose, and never suggest a medicine, dose or home remedy, so how many units someone needs is a question for your team at the consult. If someone describes chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, bleeding that won't stop or sudden numbness, its first words tell them to call 911. For severe pain or swelling, such as after a treatment, it tells them to call your clinic now, and 911 if it's an emergency.
What a consult request looks like
Sample, with made-up details. When a visitor asks for a consult, the lead email looks like this. It is the same layout as the real one.

FAQ
Questions from Med Spa Owners
It offers to take their details so your team can call to set it up. With your business type set to Salon / Barber / Spa, it asks which treatment they're interested in and what day and time suit them, then their first and last name, phone number and email (you can turn the email off). The request is emailed to you and saved in your Leads tab. It never says a time is booked: your team confirms it.
No. It's built to never give medical advice, never diagnose, and never suggest a medicine, dose or home remedy. A question like how many units someone needs is for your team at the consult, so it offers to take their name and number instead.
It sends them to a person. If someone describes chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, bleeding that won't stop or sudden numbness, its first words tell them to call 911. For severe pain or swelling, it tells them to call your clinic now, and 911 if it's an emergency. It doesn't suggest what to do for the reaction. Keep your clinic's phone number in Business info so it can give it.
No. BotDesk isn't set up for HIPAA, and we don't sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Here is what that means in practice: every chat is saved for up to 12 months so you can read it, and the text is sent to OpenAI to write each reply. If a client types why they're coming in, such as a skin concern or a treatment they had elsewhere, that is saved too. The safe way to use it: keep it to general questions (hours, location, treatments you offer, prices you publish, how a consult works), set the greeting to ask clients not to share health details in the chat, and let it take just a name, number and the treatment they're asking about so your team calls back. If your practice needs a BAA for this, don't use BotDesk for patient intake.
On Pro, yes: add your online booking link and it sends people there when they're ready. It doesn't read your booking system's open times. On Starter and Growth, it takes their details and emails them to you so your team can book them. Growth can also book real times in the chat on BotDesk's own calendar, checked against your calendar link.
The Free plan answers your clients' questions and takes up to 3 consult requests a month. Starter ($29/month) takes every request, and Pro ($99/month) adds your booking link. Free plan: no card. Paid plans: 30-day free trial, card at checkout, no charge until day 31, cancel anytime.
Yes. It replies in the language each person writes in, such as Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or Tagalog, on every plan, and you choose which languages it uses. On Growth and up, chats in another language reach you with an English translation.
