Wasps by the Door at 9 PM?
Your Website Answers in Spanish Too

BotDesk is a chat assistant for pest control websites. It answers in English or Spanish from your own site, takes the address, the pest and how urgent it is, and emails the lead to you so your tech can call back.

How It Works

From "There's a Nest" to a Lead With the Address

People search for pest control when they've just seen something. The bot answers right then and collects what you need to quote.

1

It answers from your site

Pests you treat, the prices you publish (keeping "starting at"), towns or ZIP codes you serve, same-day service and guarantees. If your site doesn't say, it says it doesn't know.

2

It asks what you need to know

Pest control is filed under Home services, so before the name and number it asks for the address or ZIP code, what the pest problem is and how urgent it is. Visitors can skip a question and it still takes the lead.

3

Your office calls back

The lead is emailed to you and saved in your dashboard's Leads tab. When it takes a lead, it doesn't tell anyone a visit is booked: you confirm it.

What It Answers

What Customers Ask a Pest Control Company

It answers from your own website and the info you add. If something isn't there, it says so and offers a callback instead of guessing.

"How much for mice?"

Gives the price your site lists, such as a starting price for rodent control, with the same "starting at" wording. With no price on your site, it offers a callback.

"Do you come to 77502?"

Answers from the towns or ZIP codes your site lists, when that page is one it read.

"Is it safe for my dog?"

Repeats only what your site says about the products you use, and says your technician can confirm. It doesn't promise a treatment is safe.

"Can you come today?"

Answers from what your site says about same-day or emergency service, then takes their details.

"¿Cuánto cuesta para cucarachas?"

It replies in Spanish to a visitor who writes in Spanish, on every plan. On Growth and up, you get the chat with an English translation.

"Do you guarantee it?"

Repeats your guarantee or re-treatment policy as your site words it, conditions included.

Example

"Hay un nido de avispas junto a la puerta"

Uses what's on your site: same-day service and the ZIP codes you serve

Example chat in Spanish. Made-up company (Lone Star Pest Pros), made-up visitor and numbers.

In English: the visitor has a large wasp nest by the front door and wants someone today. The bot asks about stings and allergies first, gives 911 for trouble breathing, gives the company's same-day line from its site, checks the ZIP code against the service area, then asks for a name and number. On Growth and up, a Spanish chat reaches you with an English translation.

Before You Go Live

What to Put on Your Site So It Can Answer

BotDesk answers from your own website and says so when something isn't there. These are the pest control questions that most often have no answer on a site.

Prices or starting prices

For example rodent control, a general treatment or a termite inspection. Without them it can only offer a callback.

The towns or ZIP codes you serve

In plain text on one page it reads, not only in a map image.

Same-day and emergency service

Whether you come out the same day, on weekends, and the number to call.

What you use, in your words

What your site says about products and re-entry times for kids and pets. The bot repeats it and never adds a safety promise of its own.

Guarantees and re-treatment

The terms, so it can repeat them with their conditions.

Whether your staff speak Spanish

The bot replies in Spanish either way, so say on your site if your techs or office do too.

FAQ

Questions from Pest Control Companies

It's built to send people to a person. For stinging insects when someone is allergic, or rodents in a kitchen or food area, it tells them to call your office now, and to call 911 for an allergic reaction such as trouble breathing. Then it takes the address, the pest and how urgent it is, and their name and number.

No. It's built to never promise that a product is safe for children or pets. It repeats only what your site says about the products you use and says your technician can confirm.

On Starter, it takes their name, number and details and emails them to you so you can call back and set a time. Growth can also book real times in the chat on BotDesk's own calendar, checked against your calendar link. On Pro, you can add your online booking link and it sends people there when they're ready.

The Free plan reads up to 5 pages of your site, Starter 15, Growth 50 and Pro 500. If something it needs sits on a page it didn't read, add it in your dashboard under What your bot knows and it uses it from then on. If your site blocks our scan with a security check, you can paste your services, prices, hours and towns instead. Questions it couldn't answer show up in the same place, so you can add the answer.

Yes. It replies in the language each person writes in, such as Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or Tagalog, on every plan, and you choose which languages it uses. On Growth and up, chats in another language reach you with an English translation.

How languages work →

The Free plan answers your customers' questions and takes up to 3 leads a month. Starter ($29/month) takes every lead, Growth ($59/month) adds price estimates from your price list and booking on BotDesk's calendar, and Pro ($99/month) adds your booking link. Free plan: no card. Paid plans: 30-day free trial, card at checkout, no charge until day 31, cancel anytime.

What it won't do

Emergencies. For stinging insects when someone is allergic, or rodents in a kitchen or food area, it's built to tell them to call your office now, and to call 911 for an allergic reaction. It doesn't give treatment advice.

Safety promises. It's built to never promise that a treatment is safe for children or pets, or quote a price your site doesn't list.

What lands in your inbox

Sample, with made-up details. When a visitor wants a call back, the lead email looks like this. It is the same layout as the real one.

On your phone, tap the number to call them back. The same lead is saved in your dashboard's Leads tab. The Free plan takes up to 3 leads a month; paid plans take every one.
