What unlimited means here
The plain version
Many chatbots say "unlimited" and then count something else. This is exactly what we count and what we don't.
No monthly cap
Starter, Growth and Pro have no limit on conversations in a month. One conversation is one visitor's chat, however many messages it takes.
No per-message charge
You don't pay per answer, per message or per resolved chat. The plan price is the whole price.
No credits to buy
There are no message credits and no top-up packs. You don't bring your own AI key either. It is all in the plan.
Same price in a busy month
If a promotion sends ten times the visitors, the bill stays $29, $59 or $99.
The limits that do exist
What "unlimited" does not cover
Read this before you decide. These are the real limits as of November 2026.
Free is capped
Free is $0 with no card: 50 conversations a month and up to 10 leads a month. After 50, the bot stops answering until the 1st.
Pages it reads
Starter reads up to 15 pages of your site, Growth 50, Pro 500. Free reads 5. A bigger site needs a bigger plan.
A daily ceiling
Every bot, on every plan, can handle 2,000 visitor messages a day (resets at midnight UTC). It is there to stop abuse of a leaked key.
Abuse is not covered
Our terms let us suspend or end accounts that abuse the platform, such as spam or scraping other services. Normal visitor traffic is not abuse.
BotDesk is website chat only. It does not answer phone calls and does not take payments. The "Powered by BotDesk" badge shows on Free and Starter and is removed on Growth and Pro.

Questions about unlimited conversations
On Starter, Growth and Pro, yes, in the two ways people usually mean it: there is no monthly cap on conversations, and we don't charge per message or per answer. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one. It is not unlimited in every sense: the Free plan has 50 conversations a month, each plan reads a set number of pages, and there is a daily safety ceiling on messages, explained above.
One visitor's chat, however many messages they send in it. Free is capped at 50 of these a month. On paid plans we don't cap them.
Each bot can handle 2,000 visitor messages a day, on every plan. It resets at midnight UTC. It exists to stop someone abusing a leaked key, not to meter normal use. If a bot ever reaches it, the chat tells visitors it has hit its daily limit and to try again tomorrow or contact the business directly.
Nothing extra to pay on a paid plan. There are no overage fees and no credit packs to buy. The daily ceiling above is the only thing that would stop a bot, and only at 2,000 messages in one day.
